About Adams Sports Academy
Adams Sports Academy (ASA) — originally founded as Adams Fundamentals Academy (AFA) — was established to meet a critical need in the Palouse region: the creation of a structured, year-round developmental program for young basketball players. At a time when consistent, high-quality training opportunities were limited, ASA emerged with a clear mission — to provide athletes of all ages and abilities with a place to learn, grow, and compete at a higher level.
Founded by Coach Mario Adams, a Northern California native with over 20 years of combined playing and coaching experience, Adams Sports Academy represents more than a basketball training program — it’s a movement built on discipline, development, and community. Drawing from his rich background under the mentorship of Hall of Fame coaches and his experience within both scholastic and AAU basketball, Coach Adams saw tremendous potential in the athletes of the Palouse. His vision was to create a program that would give these players the knowledge, structure, and competitive edge needed to reach their full potential — both on the court and in life.
From its humble beginnings as a fundamentals-focused training program, ASA has evolved into a comprehensive basketball academy serving hundreds of athletes each year across Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho. The academy offers a variety of specialized programs — including 1-on-1 and semi-private training, group skill development sessions, AAU travel teams, and seasonal clinics and camps — all designed to meet athletes where they are and help them grow through intentional, progressive instruction.
At Adams Sports Academy, the philosophy is simple but powerful: build better players by building better people. Every session emphasizes not just skill refinement, but also character development, accountability, and leadership. Whether a player’s goal is to make their middle school or high school team or to compete at the collegiate level, the ASA coaching staff is committed to guiding each athlete through every step of their journey with care, structure, and excellence.
Over the years, ASA has proudly watched its athletes excel — earning recognition in school programs, club teams, and even at the college level. Yet, the Academy takes the greatest pride not in wins or trophies, but in the growth, confidence, and discipline that each athlete develops along the way.
Today, ASA continues to expand its impact throughout the Palouse community — fostering a culture of hard work, integrity, and lifelong learning through the game of basketball. Led by a team of passionate, experienced coaches who share the same values and vision, Adams Sports Academy remains steadfast in its mission to prepare the next generation of athletes for success — in the game, and in life.
Meet our exceptional coaching staff below — the heart and foundation of ASA’s continued success.
Coaching Staff
Founder & Director – Coach Mario Adams
Coach Mario Adams, founder of Adams Sports Academy (ASA), is a passionate leader, teacher, and mentor dedicated to transforming young athletes both on and off the court. Originally from Northern California’s Bay Area, Coach Adams brings a wealth of experience rooted in tradition, excellence, and character — values shaped under the legendary guidance of Hall of Fame Coach Frank Allocco, one of California’s most respected basketball minds.
As a player, Coach Adams spent four years competing at the powerhouse De La Salle High School in Concord, California — a program nationally recognized for its discipline, teamwork, and commitment to fundamentals. During his time there, he helped lead the Spartans to the 2006 California State Championship, while the team earned a #3 national ranking among Division I high school basketball programs. His years at De La Salle instilled in him the principles that continue to define his coaching philosophy today: discipline, humility, and the relentless pursuit of improvement.
After his playing career, Coach Adams began his coaching journey working youth basketball camps across California and Oregon, most notably with the prestigious “Excel in Basketball” program based in Walnut Creek, California. These early experiences allowed him to refine his teaching methods and connect with young athletes from diverse backgrounds, shaping his belief that basketball is not just a sport — it’s a platform to teach life skills, build confidence, and develop leadership.
Coach Adams went on to gain extensive experience across multiple competitive levels, coaching in respected AAU organizations such as Advanced Skills Academy and Ultimate Girls Basketball. His ability to develop both boys’ and girls’ players with individualized attention and detailed instruction quickly earned him a reputation as a coach who not only teaches the game but transforms the mindset of his athletes.
At the high school level, Coach Adams has served in several impactful roles, including Head Coach of the Lake Roosevelt Boys Varsity Basketball Team, St. John-Endicott Boys Lacrosse Varsity Coach, and Moscow High School C-Team and Junior Varsity Basketball Coach. Each position has contributed to his deep understanding of player development, program building, and mentorship within youth and scholastic athletics.
In 2020, Coach Adams was honored with induction into the De La Salle Athletic Hall of Fame, a testament to his leadership, character, and lasting impact as both a player and mentor within one of the nation’s most storied basketball programs.
In 2021, he founded Adams Sports Academy (formerly Adams Fundamentals Academy) with a mission to create a basketball and life-skills ecosystem that serves athletes across the Palouse region and beyond. Under his direction, ASA has become a year-round developmental hub offering 1-on-1 training, semi-private sessions, group programs, elite skill clinics, AAU teams, and seasonal camps and events. His work extends beyond coaching — he also oversees marketing, community engagement, parent communications, and academy operations, ensuring every aspect of ASA reflects his core values of discipline, love, and sacrifice.
Coach Adams holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Jessup University in Rocklin, California, and is WIAA Certified in Coaching. He currently resides in Moscow, Idaho, where he continues to lead ASA with the same passion, structure, and dedication that have defined his journey in basketball.
Coach Adams’ leadership is more than about wins and losses — it’s about legacy. His focus remains on developing complete athletes who carry integrity, confidence, and purpose into every area of their lives. Through his vision, Adams Sports Academy stands as a beacon of excellence in youth sports and community development.
AFA Elite Program– Coach Jeremy Bogle
Adams Sports Academy is proud to spotlight Coach Jeremy Bogle, a highly accomplished player and coach whose deep passion for basketball and commitment to excellence have made him one of the Academy’s most respected leaders. Coach Bogle’s journey through the game — from his decorated high school career to his success at the collegiate and coaching levels — reflects the discipline, perseverance, and love for competition that he now instills in every athlete he mentors.
A standout athlete during his playing days, Jeremy was named First Team 2A All-State during his senior year of high school, a recognition that highlighted his exceptional skill, leadership, and competitive spirit. Following high school, he continued his basketball career at Big Bend Community College, where he played for two years and became one of the program’s most consistent and impactful players. His sophomore season was particularly impressive — earning NWAC All-State honors, an achievement that propelled him to continue his playing career at the NCAA Division II level.
After his collegiate career, Coach Bogle transitioned into coaching, where his ability to teach, motivate, and connect with players quickly set him apart. He spent seven successful seasons as the Varsity Assistant and Junior Varsity Head Coach at Colfax High School, helping build one of the region’s most competitive and consistent programs. Under his leadership and support, the Colfax Varsity Boys Basketball Team advanced to the Washington State Tournament six consecutive years, a testament to the program’s culture of discipline and commitment — values Coach Bogle helped reinforce daily.
Now residing in Pullman, Washington, Coach Bogle continues to bring that same championship mindset to Adams Sports Academy. As the Head Coach of our Elite Group Training Program on Sundays, as well as a leader within our 1-on-1 and Semi-Private Training Programs, he focuses on helping athletes refine their technique, understand the game on a deeper level, and develop the habits that lead to long-term success. His sessions are known for their energy, intensity, and purpose — creating an environment where athletes are challenged to think, work, and perform like high-level players.
Coach Bogle’s philosophy centers around trusting the process rather than fixating on the end goal. He believes that success comes through consistent effort, self-discipline, and attention to detail — lessons that extend beyond basketball and into everyday life. His players learn not just how to play the game, but how to carry themselves with confidence, accountability, and integrity both on and off the court.
With his blend of playing experience, proven coaching background, and unrelenting passion for athlete development, Coach Jeremy Bogle has become an invaluable member of the ASA family. His dedication to helping athletes reach their full potential continues to inspire everyone around him, making him a true pillar of our program and community.
